NOW Foods Betainpulver – 170 g

This was my first time trying out this type of supplement. Overall I think it adds a little boost to your workout and helps with endurance. The price is not too bad when comparing it to similar items. I did think the container would be larger, but you only need a small amount per workout. It's nice that this is from a family owned business.

I don't know how you can rate this kind of product unless it does something amazing in a very short time. It didn't for me. After some time maybe I will see or feel some benefits. One bottle maybe but probably will take more than one bottle and some time. I will continue to use this product and update after using this bottle.

Supplements like this Betaine powder are hard to review. Some people might feel the benefits of betaine. Others might not. Yet it does in some way help everyone when taken properly and when used in conjunction with a good diet, sleep, and exercise regimen. Anyway, I've been taking this for around a week. I've done a few longer runs. Can't really tell if it's helped me, but that's OK. I haven't had any negative side effects and in the long run, it should help.

I've been using this as suggested for about 3 weeks. Some of the supposed benefits like it being good for liver function, having anti-inflammatory properties, etc. are hard to know without lab tests, so I can't confirm or deny any of that. However, I do think it adds some to the muscle-volumizing effects of creatine, which I take regularly. For me, creatine adds just enough volume to my muscles to give them a more rounded shape, which I'm used to seeing because I use it so regularly. After using this for a few weeks along with creatine, I was wearing a tank top and noticed in the mirror that my arms and shoulders looked a little fuller. Not necessarily bigger, just better shaped than usual, with a little better definition. Being on the cheaper side for supplements like creatine is, this could be an easy one to add in. I would recommend it to anyone looking for the muscle benefits specifically.

Did not see significant gains after 3 weeks of use... typical week includes 2 half marathons and 2 x 40 mile bike rides. Saw some improvement with running speed but plateaued after those gains (from 8:40 min/mile to 8:20 min/mile runs). The product itself has a slightly bitter taste but easily resolved when mixed with a flavored drink. No negative side-effects noted. Each bottle is good for about 7 weeks - taken 2 times a day. Made in Finland.
